Privacy notice
Home Heroes is operated by Eric Denedo. It helps parents manage family responsibilities, points and rewards. A parent or guardian creates and manages the family account and any child profiles.
Information you provide
We store your family name or nickname, child names or nicknames, avatar choices, optional profile photos uploaded on the website, responsibilities, schedules, reward choices, points and family activity history. Please use nicknames if you prefer and avoid putting sensitive information in task descriptions.
We store hashes of passwords, profile PINs, recovery keys and session tokens to protect account access. Passwords and recovery keys are not displayed to other family members. The recovery key is shown when generated; keep it privately. We do not require a child's email address, birth date or location.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to operate your private family space, approve responsibilities, calculate scores, provide rewards and protect access. Members of your family can see family profiles and leaderboards. Parent controls require the parent PIN. Family records are not listed publicly or shared with other family accounts.
The service uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure to host the website, database and uploaded photos. Expo provides app builds and distribution. Apple handles TestFlight and App Store distribution and may process diagnostics under its own terms. Infrastructure providers may process network and diagnostic information when delivering the service. Home Heroes also stores hashed network identifiers and timestamps temporarily to limit sign-in attempts.
The app does not include advertising or advertising identifiers. When you open the parent subscription area, RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous family billing identifier, purchase and subscription records, and technical information required to validate purchases. Apple or Google processes payment details; Home Heroes does not receive your full payment card details. We do not send child names, photos, PINs, tasks or reward descriptions to RevenueCat. We do not sell family records or use them for targeted advertising.
Storage and retention
Family records stay in the service while your account exists. Web sessions use an essential cookie; mobile sessions use secure device storage. Sessions expire after 30 days. Sign-out revokes the current session. Recovery signs out existing devices. Sign-in attempt records are periodically removed after their protection window.
Deleting the family account removes its records and uploaded photos from the active service and revokes family sessions. Hosting providers may retain operational logs or recovery backups according to their retention policies; these are not available through the app.
Deleting your family account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store subscription settings. Apple, Google and RevenueCat may retain transaction records according to their own retention obligations. Contact us for help with a billing-data deletion request.
Your controls
Parents can edit child profiles and PINs, remove profile photos on the website, and manage tasks and rewards. To delete the whole account in the app, open Parent mode → Account, privacy & support → Delete family account. Enter your current password, parent PIN and DELETE. On the website, open Account settings after unlocking Parent mode.
Keep the recovery key in a private place. Without your password or recovery key, Home Heroes cannot restore access. Children should ask their parent for help with their profile or data.
